Trendrr.com - A Great Tool For Tracking & Trending

Happened across this site yesterday while perusing Mashable. It's extremely straightforward and surprisingly robust. Essentially, it is a site that tracks trends using keywords across a myriad of online platforms. Want to know how often a certain phrase or word is Twittered? Done. Want to know how often Obama is mentioned in a blog post? Done. How about Doritos? Let's see:
(Click above graph to see more about this trend).
One detail worth mentioning is the tool that allows you to determine the duration of a certain trend and annotate it. For example, the graph above is tracking every mention of Doritos in blogs. Had I drawn the trend back to January and February, you would see a spike in blog posts. I could contribute this spike to Crash The Super Bowl as the campaign was in full swing. As was the buzz around this spot:

This isn't rocket science- the site delivers analytics that can be found through a variety of other methods and utilities. But the magic of this site is that it aggregates all those different sites information so you don't have to.

It's in beta so look forward to seeing updates. And if you have a problem or see room for improvement, email them. You might just be part of a bigger trend.
